After our migration to Cloud, a user pointed out that the "Link Issue" feature lacks functionality that the old "Add Link" feature from on-prem had. Notably, the ability to do an Simple or even Advanced Search (they were using Fix Versions not Project) to bulk link multiple tickets all at once:
Now on Cloud, they have to do it one at a time:
(No, this is NOT a multi-select dropdown.)
I googled a bit, and wonder if Linksy by our friends at @Caelor Support is the Cloud solution for this?
Does anybody else use this feature or rather used to use it and miss it? Are you using Linksy instead?
Thanks!
I never knew that feature existed ;) I guess a workaround would be the Backlog / List View, where you can mark multiple issues and link them to another one. Not ideal though.
Hi @Darryl Lee ,
I agree that it's unfortunate this functionality doesn't exist on Cloud as it does on DC. Our app, Linksy, also doesn't support this exact behavior. However, users can create a custom field with a specific JQL filter that will only show those issues available to link. While this doesn't solve the issue of selecting issues one by one, it does address the problem of filtering out issues.
This is an interesting use case, highlighting the lack of such basic functionality in Cloud. Do you think there is a significant demand for this functionality on Cloud? If many customers are requesting this, we could consider implementing a custom solution within Linksy that would work similarly to the native behavior on DC.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
Krešimir
