Native Mermaid support could be a productivity boost for technical teams. Jira doesn't yet have a dedicated "Mermaid Macro" in the standard issue description editor.
Several apps, such as "Mermaid Charts for Jira" or "Graphs and Diagrams for Jira," add either a custom field or a specific UI element to display Mermaid syntax directly within your issues.
I couldn't find an active suggestion ticket on their official Jira tracker, but there is one for Bitbucket: BCLOUD-21675. You could create a Jira-related ticket for this, start voting, and watch for updates, since Atlassian uses those metrics to prioritize their roadmap.
