Issue connecting Jira with GitHub
We are having an issue connecting Jira with GitHub. We are no longer able to connect Jira with GitHub when the person doing the connection is not an owner in the GitHub organisation.
In the past, when a non-owner of an GitHub organisation connected Jira with GitHub they would get a link to send to an owner. This is described in step 7 of Atlassian's Connect GitHub Cloud to Jira documentation.
Now, a non-owner does not get the link. Instead they are lead through the process to connect Jira to GitHub, which does not work.
In Jira there is the option to setup GitHub for Atlassian:
Clicking on that "Set up connection" button gives the following screen. But, there is no option for non-owners of a GitHub organisation.
Pressing the continue button give the screen:
And then to the install screen for the GitHub organisation
But the installation does not work because they are not an owner.
How do we proceed? It is not an option to make the JIRA admin an owner of our GitHub organisation.
