Is it possible to implement same filter logic for forge custom field

Hi,

Is it possible to implement the same filter logic for a Forge dropdown custom field?

I created a Forge dropdown field, but it is showing as text in the All Work tab list view. We want our Forge field to appear as a dropdown so that we can filter it like a standard Jira native dropdown field.

Is that possible with Forge?

From what I've seen, Forge custom fields are not integrated into the native filtering dropdowns at the top of Jira boards or in the All work/List view. I believe the limitation is not just about the UI, but also how Forge fields are handled in the backend and APIs. 🤔

However, I've only played around with Forge and some relatively basic examples. Maybe you could check with Dev community if they have any insights on definite answers to this.

I also did a quick scan on JAC for open suggestions around this, but couldn't find anything that relates to what you're looking for. I believe Forge requests are 'embedded' within existing, most relevant Atlassian product projects/spaces.
You could, maybe, reach out to the Support team, and based on your requirement, they could create a new feature request. 👀
