How only show Epics in an initiative in the Epic panel?

I created the quick filter

issue in portfolioChildIssuesOf("INTI-123")

which only shows Issues (Epics, User stories, and Tasks) in the initiative INIT-123 in the backlog view. The filter does not change the Epics visible in the Epic panel. The Epic panel has all the incomplete epics in a project. My aim is for the Epic panel to only show epics relevant to the initiative.

Currently quick filters are not applied to the Epics panel. There is a change request to which you can add your vote.

My solution going forward is to set a filter on the board that limits which epics are shown in the backlog.
