How can I view the Rich Text Editor in Custom fields using Cloud JIRA?

We have custom fields that we wanted to update to have rich text editing capabilities.

I found a few posts mentioning you can do this by

• navigating to Project Settings > Issues > Fields
• searching for the relevant field eg. "Acceptance Criteria"
• changing the "render" type to be "Wiki"

I've made the changes, however, I'm still unable to view the Rich Text options in that custom field.

Does this approach work for JIRA Cloud or is there something else I may be missing?

are you talking about company-managed or team-managed project?

For company managed project you need to setup wiki renderer for your field (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-renderers/)

Thanks @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ ! I didn't realise there was a difference with company vs team, so we have projects on both. If company managed, you've clarified with the link above (thank you) and it worked successfully (though there was a 30 minute or so lag with changes taking effect, not sure why but works now!)

For the team-managed, please can you let me know what the process is to set up rich text editing on custom fields?
