Hi everyone,

I am trying out the Ms Planner connector app from @Konstantin Virolainen , but I can't get it to work properly for a company scale.

Did anyone try it ? We are struggling to figure out how can a user authenticate his/her Microsoft account without being an MS Teams admin, and how to disconnect from a MS account during the connection wizard.

Any insight would be appreciated ! 😁

Hi everyone — quick update for anyone trying out the Microsoft Planner to Jira integration:

Admin Approval – In some organizations, Microsoft requires an admin to approve the app before users can connect. To help with this, we’ve added a "Copy Admin Approval Link" button. You can share that link with your Microsoft 365 admin, and once approved, the app will be available to everyone in your org.

Disconnect Account – In the latest version, users can now disconnect their Microsoft account if needed — just click the corresponding button in the UI.

Thanks so much to everyone testing the app and sharing feedback. Let me know if you run into anything — happy to help!

Hey David!

Thanks for trying out the Planner connector — appreciate the feedback!

A couple of quick points that might help:

Planner Version: Just to clarify — are you using Planner Basic or Planner Premium (which is a rebrand of MS Project for the web)? Right now, the app only supports Planner Basic, so that could be a factor.

Authentication: The Microsoft login flow should work for any regular user account — being a Teams admin shouldn’t be required. It’s using standard Microsoft OAuth. If it’s failing at that step, I’d love to understand more — any errors or behavior you’re seeing?

Disconnecting Microsoft account: Great point — the current version doesn’t include a “disconnect” option in the wizard yet. But just to confirm — does that mean you were able to connect successfully and see plans, but then got stuck trying to switch accounts or re-authenticate?

Happy to jump on a quick call or debug further if helpful! 😄
