Filters in Goals

In the Goals screen, is it possible to create a filter that can be saved and applied as goals are updated / added?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It's possible. In Goals, the feature you're looking for is called a saved view.

Go to the Goals directory, apply the search and filters you need, then select Create view in the top-right and give the view a name.

The view saves those filtering criteria, so you can return to it later without recreating the filters. As goals are added or updated, the view will show the goals that match the saved criteria.

You can also star frequently used views or set a saved view as your default.
