Different resolution values for different Issue types

Question

I have resolution field on epic and bug. But the context is different.

Epic can have resolution such as Done and Won't Do. But in Bugs I want to have different values like No Plans To Implement , Duplicate , etc.

How to do this. Resolution is system field not custom. We can set context for custom fields, but can we do this for system fields?

Hi @integrity-jira-user,

Since you set the resolution on a workflow transition, you can use workflow properties on that specific transition to show / hide resolutions as you want. Check the section on transition properties in this support article on how to configure this.

Obviously, you will need to make sure your epics and bugs have their own separate workflow to make this work.
