Default text within the Description field

Need default text within the description field to automatically generate content.

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

With a Team Managed project you can specify default text for the Description field.

That is not supported for Company Managed projects with native Jira functionality. It could be possible with a third party apps.

There is a work around for Company Managed projects. It involves creating a custom field for which you can set default text, adding that field to the Create Issue screen and removing the built-in Description field from just that screen, and then using an Automation Rule to copy the final text from that custom field to the built in Description field after the issue is created.
