You are correct, Forms with conditional sections are a JSM feature only (the exception is if you had ProForma Forms installed before it was added to JSM).
Thanks. Appreciate the confirmation. Although I have to admit as a fairly new user of these tools I fail to see any reasoning why all forms in all projects would not have this basic functionality. Its puzzling.
Are there any indication that with the new unified Jira experience that this might change? Thanks again.

Forms in JSM started out as a separate app that was acquired by Atlassian, forms in Jira was something that the JWM team created and they were introduced about the same time I believe.
I would not be surprised if combining them is something that is being looked at for the future.
