Good Day Everyone,
By default, it looks like we automatically use the American date format (MMDDYY). I have gone into my Atlassian account settings and did not see anything for a date format to change. I noticed on the account preferences there was a manager option set to English (US), so I attempted to change it to English (Canada) to see if that would adjust the date format. When I tried this there was no English (Canada) but there was an English (UK) which I chose, as I know they use the same date format we do (DDMMYY or YYYYMMDD). This language setting for English (UK) changed the date format and ultimately solved my issue.
However, my question now is does this make sense? Should there be a date format option? or a Canadian English language option to use our date format without selecting the UK option? or possibly something somewhere else my JIRA Admin team should adjust that we are not aware of?
I was told that my admin team adjusted our date format (seen in the attached image) on the back end but I am not seeing it on the front end with the English (US) language setting.
Hi @Nick Wier welcome to the community. I would agree, there should be a setting for Canada and so do some others. I found JRACLOUD-84753 on Atlassian's Jira Site. I would suggest voting for and watching the issue for future updates. Feel free to add some comments to the issue and tell your friends to vote for it as well. I'm in the states, but I went ahead and voted for it too.
Hope that helps!
Thank you so much!!! Greatly appreciated.
