Hey there,
as I understand, subtasks are also not shown in the board view of our team-managed business project and that is expected behaviour. After reading some articles I thought it should be possible for me, as a administrator of the jira instance and also the team-managed project, to use a "group by: subtask" view, but when I look at the group by menue it shows no option to group by any issue types. Why are they not shown?
Screen is in german, but I think you will get the gist of it.
Thank you for your help and greetings from germany

Hello Conrad,
So basically by default Sub-tasks are not visible in team-managed projects. Team-managed projects are designed for smaller teams that want more straightforward boards, focusing on main tasks or issues. Sub-tasks are still available, but they’re not shown on the board to avoid visual clutter. Currently, Jira doesn’t provide the option to toggle sub-tasks visibility on team-managed boards.
Solution for this moment: You can display sub-tasks as separate issues by converting them to tasks, or if sub-tasks are essential, consider switching to a company-managed project where sub-tasks can appear on the board with more control over their visibility.
Hi Ugnius,
thanks you for your fast reply, I will think about which way I use to solve the problem.
Greetings
Conrad
