My project had a board before that suddenly disappeared, and when I try to enable it, it shows to ask for a Jira admin, but I am the Jira admin.
Also when click to see project details I get this error and never loads.
I'm stuck on this for a while.
Anybody knows how to fix it?
I found the solution!
I still think it's a bug, as it wasn't very clear to me as a user how to fix it.
The problem was related to the subscription, for some reason (maybe due to using more users than the free limit) it put me on trial for some time a few days ago and expired.
Then these errors on the project started to happen. I found that I needed to change the subscription plan to free again. However, it was not clear and did not show that I had a subscription plan set, because, besides I am an Org Admin, I was not a Billing Admin, which is a different role. That was a hard issue, as for an Org Admin without Billing permissions, it shows that everything is alright with your Jira products. Only if you set yourself, which I did, it shows that you need a credit card to keep using the Jira Service.
So it gets me to some questions:
- Why an Org Admin doesn't see anything about the subscription expired for default, only if he has Billing Admin, which makes sense to set a specific user to handle billing information, but don't tell the Org Admin that the subscription is expired, it make a confusion here.
- Why the project doesn't show any message about Subscription and Billing for my project instead of errors about permission and error to load project details? Sounds like a bug.
It was pretty hard to find the fix by myself but everything is working as before.

What type of project is it? Get that information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

Are you just a Product Admin, or are you also an Organization Admin for the organization in which the product/site exists?

The message says refresh and try again. I assume you have done that, yes?
Are there other users of your instance that are able to access enabling that feature, and/or can view the Project Settings/Details page without error?

To double check this, you have the Administer Jira global permission? If this is this the case, have you tried using a different browser, incognito mode and logging off and loggin on?
