Altering the layout on the Jira work item screens in Jira Premium Cloud

Are there any good marketplace apps that allow for redesigning the layout of the Jira work item screens? In cloud there is a ton of wasted space between items. We need to be able to group fields together and have fields side by side in the left hand side, which only allows things to be stacked.

I know about extra tabs, but that's not a great user experience either. Looking for a way to imitate what I've seen Data Center UIs show.

In Jira Cloud the layout options for the work item view are quite limited. You can reorder fields, hide/show them, and organize them into sections or tabs, but you can’t really redesign the screen into a custom multi-column layout.

If you want to explore alternatives, you could try searching the Marketplace for “issue layout”, but to set expectations: there aren’t many apps that significantly change the issue layout on Cloud. Most apps can only extend parts of the view rather than fully redesign it.
