I have a Jira Plan that my team is going to start using to display Epics that we're going to work on in a particular Quarter. As part of this Timeline view on the Plan, I want to show as a column related epics that are linked issues to the Epic in the Plan. The use case here is to track work that other teams have to do either before or after my team completes their portion of the work.
Right now I only have the option to add 'Blocked by' and 'Blocks' as columns in my timeline view. When I go to the Dependencies section I don't see any additional options when I select Issue Link Type besides Blocks. Instead of only Blocking issues I would like to so 'Related To' as well.
Hello @Sheila Connolly
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
The types of links that can be seen in Plans is managed through a global setting that applies to all Plans. If you have sufficient permissions you would access the setting by clicking on the Plans menu and selecting Settings.
From the next page you would select Dependencies, and then add more link types.
This does require an elevated level of permissions as changes will affect all Plans. You may need to contact your Jira administrators to ask for this change.
Spend the day sharpening your skills in Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin or Jira Administration, then take the exam onsite. Already ready? Take one - or more - of 12 different certification exams while you’re in Anaheim at Team' 25.
