We're excited to invite 2-3 customers to participate in an exclusive Early Access Program (EAP) for the new Jira Software Timeline. This is your chance to get early access to powerful new features and directly influence how timeline evolves in Jira.
We're bringing the best capabilities from Business timeline into Software timeline to create a unified, more powerful planning experience. The goal? Make timeline work better for every team.
Display all work items - Even those without an epic and beyond epic level! No more hidden work
Subtasks in timeline - View and manage subtasks directly in your timeline view
Inline editing - Update assignee, status, and summary right from the timeline
Enhanced bulk editing - Update multiple fields across multiple items at once (not just dates!)
Customizable bar colors - Choose status colors or epic colors for better visual organization
View-level settings - Easier access to timeline customization (no more digging into space settings)
Assignee and status columns - Add these as field columns for quick reference
We need teams who:
Use timeline regularly for planning and tracking work
Can commit to weekly usage during the 3-month (Apr - June'26) EAP
Have a team lead/project manager (ideally with admin access) + 1-2 individual contributors willing to participate
Are comfortable with early access software (some features still evolving)
Can provide candid feedback through surveys and 1-2 feedback sessions

Regular check-ins to share feedback and get support
This is early access, so:
Marketplace/custom apps won't work in Drop 1
Filter results will show in flat layout initially (hierarchical view coming in Drop 2)
"Schedule by X days" bulk edit will be removed (fast-follow planned)
Features may change based on feedback
We'll give you heads-up before any breaking changes and support you through transitions.
We're selecting just 2-3 customers for this cohort, so spots are limited! I will hold an introductory call to discuss future details.
