hi, i have a test organization setup last year for Jira Service Management that i cannot delete since i cannot remove products from it. i have another organization setup under the same login under Atlassian partner program
Hi @Tom Mikelin
I understand you are trying to delete this organization. However the site in question was only deactivated on July 7th. As such, because you didn't remove the products on that site, we are expected to retain that product data for 60 days per our Track storage and move data across products. After which time, the site itself will be deleted. Once the site is deleted, then you can delete the organization per https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/delete-your-organization/
In turn if you wait until September 6th, that site should then have been deleted, which will then let you delete the organization.
You could potentially delete this sooner, but it would actually require you to reactivate the site by first creating a support ticket over in https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/?inquiry_category=billing_licensing&reason=access_issues&support_type=customer
And then once reactivated, you would have to delete all the products on the site. Only after the products have been deleted can you delete the organization. I hope that helps.
Andy
thanks Andy, I'll wait for the 7th and try to delete. will reopen the ticket if any problems on the 7th.
regards, tom

Hello @Tom Mikelin
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
What happens when you try to remove products from that organization? Are you unable to find the functionality to remove the products? Do you not have the necessary permissions? Are you getting an error message?

Hi Trudy, there are no products listed in the Billing tab.
Maybe because this was originally setup as trial that expired over 6 months ago?

If you had free products in this organization and stopped using them then they would've eventually been deactivated and then removed.
At this point you should be able to simply delete the Organization. If you have claimed domains in the Organization you'll have to remove those first.

Hm, well, depending on exactly when the last time was that you used any of the free products it may be that the products have not yet been fully deleted. See the timeline documented in this post.
The products have to be fully deleted by Atlassian before the Organization can be deleted.
If you think you are beyond the 162 days of inactivity for the most recent use of a product that was on a site in that organization, let me know and I can tag this post to bring it to the attention of the Atlassian team members.

Good day, @Trudy Claspill and @Andy Heinzer ,
I need your kind help with an issue I'm facing I wanted to delete an organization, but the delete button is grey and not active.
I followed these instructions:
However, the button remains grey and inactive.
Then I followed other instructions regarding:
As I did not have any domains, there was nothing to delete.
However, I have a couple of products with the following message:
"Product offline This Jira Service Management is currently unavailable. Contact us at support.atlassian.com for help."
I pressed many buttons next to each product, but I was unable to find any delete buttons.
Additionally, before proceeding to delete the organization, I canceled subscriptions. However, it was kind of weird because, before and now, I am still using a free account. Also, after canceling subscriptions, when I pressed on the product it shows this message:
"
"
I don’t know what to do.
Could you please help me resolve this issue if you have ever encountered a similar case before?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hello @Galym Ka
Please start your own, separate post to get assistance. Click the Ask a question button at the top of the Community screen. Adding your request for assistance to another person's request, especially considering the original post is over a year old, is poor Community etiquette.
I will give you a quick tip, though.
Review the information in the Delete an Organization article concerning "How long will it take?"
If you think that the appropriate amount of time has passed and you should be able to delete the organization then start a new post to get more assistance.

I see that after adding to this post, and before I responded, you actually did create a separate post to get assistance, and another community member responded.
