Update custom fields in another project

Hi everyone,

hope you can help me,

I have a project called RH (HR) where we manage people records. There is another project called GDP, the area responsible to provide computers and others work facilities for the employers.

In a point of the RH's workflow, in an automation, we open automatically a ticket on the GDP project in order to allow the GDP team to work on the things necessary for the new employee. So, if RH change some fields in the RH project I need to create an automation to edit the same fields I had created in the GDP too.

As I have the ID of the child ticket in the RH ticket how is the step by step procedure to edit these fields in the GDP project?

If I'm understanding correctly you want to sync certain fields from the Parent (RH) work item to the child (GDP) work item. I think you would use When: Value changes for automation trigger and the FOR EACH: add a branch option so it would looks something like this,

thanks for your answer.

As I realize there are many fields to update in GDP project I had an idea. I will create a custom field "Update GDP" with Yes/No values. When Yes is selected it will be the trigger for the automation to update all the fields (e.g. Name, Address, e-mail, and so on).

I'll try this and come back here.

I am working on some tests and there is no successful results in my operations.

In this scenario I have created a ticket in another project. So, now I would like to Cancel this child ticket. and Jira returns me "No related tickets could be found".

Where I was my fault?
