We want to allow the editing of major incident toggle field only for one user group. How could we achieve this?

I'm not aware of a way to restrict the toggle to a group but potentially you can put the toggle only on a screen that shows for a certain status in the workflow. Then you can use a validator to limit who can transition to that status (group who can declare major incidents)
