Proxy server on JSM cloud

Peter Makki February 26, 2024

My customers are a little bit concerned about URL that they hit because it is Atlassian URL (*.atlassian.net). I have my own domain certificate but I know it's not possible yet to use it in the platform. So I've tried to establish a proxy nginx which will be serving my certificate and forward to my JSM but I can't get it work - it keeps saying that "Page unavailable". I was wondering if anybody has tried that and if was successful?

I ran into something similar and found that using a proxy made the connection more stable with external tools. I was experimenting with datacenter proxies for sale and they helped route traffic more smoothly when testing access to JSM cloud endpoints.

The key was making sure the IP ranges were consistent so that Atlassian didn’t block anything unexpectedly. Still not perfect, but it helped in some test setups.

Hi Peter, as I understand it, based on this article, you should be able to use your own custom domain now.

Hopefully this makes it easier for you.
