How can we set up chat for jsm to auto-login on our refined portal?

We use refined for our front-end portal and also use the chat for jsm addon. We have embedded the chat widget in the refined portal but when a user sees the chat widget it asks them to login. We use SSO so this is not an option for our users. How can we get the autologin feature to work? I have read documentation on both refined and appfire but I must be missing something.

Contact Refined for this, its probably something based on the Atlassian chat functionality and SSO pass through within Refined.
