Deployment Frequency Report

Please I need help on how to set up the deployment frequency report in Jira. Most especially connecting your source code management and ci/cd tools.

Hi @ena.egbe,

One possible way is to create a Jira ticket for every deploy. This can be created automatically by the CI/CD tools during pipeline steps (by using Jira REST API), or manually if the deploys are not so often.

Once you have the deploy tickets in Jira, you can build a Jira dashboard for tracking them. For example, with the Kanban Velocity gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app, you can have a nice chart like this, along with the frequency (velocity).  

This is just an example of chart. The app offers many other gadgets that you could use. Just have a look on our blog to see how many things you can track with this app.
