Hi Community!
We’re excited to announce the launch of two highly requested features in Jira Service Management Change Calendar. These updates are designed to help IT and change management teams plan, communicate, and enforce change policies more effectively. Read on to learn more about the latest enhancements!
Many organizations have strict policies to prevent changes during designated Freeze or Maintenance windows. Until now, enforcing these policies in JSM required manual oversight. With our latest update, project admins can now enforce restrictions directly in JSM—at both the project and service/asset level.
What does this mean for you?
No more accidental changes during critical windows! Admins can configure the calendar to automatically block change requests, ensuring compliance and reducing risk.
Earlier this year, we introduced external calendar export for change calendar. In this latest update, we’re making some enhancements to calendar export to address common challenges faced by site admins. Now, if the original export link owner leaves the project or company, alternate users can now take ownership, ensuring continuity.
