The display data entry on page (when creating a page from a database) takes up a lot of screen "real-estate". Ideally, would be to choose which fields to show in the created page, but if this is not possible even having it aligned to the side, and thus smaller, would free up the page for the actual content.
Is there a suggested solution for this, or a workaround I am missing?
As far as I know, there's no option for this. Additionally, entries embedded on different pages will show all fields, which may seem unnecessary (especially if you're creating a new page from a view that has hidden fields). There's an open feature suggestion related to that: CONFCLOUD-81443: Apply view settings, such as hidden fields, to Confluence database entry views (I would recommend checking other open suggestions, as there might be other more relevant to your requirement)
As for the default alignment of the entry, I doubt there's an open feature request related to that. I would recommend reaching out to Atlassian Support as they can make better feature request checks and, potentially, open a new request based on what you need.
Cheers,
Tob
