I have inserted a widget connector into a page. In that connector I have included a link to a vimeo video. The widget is telling me that no video exists however have confirmed multiple ways that the vimeo link is fine and the video is fine. Have followed this process for multiple videos on this page, this one is not working. Is this a bug?
I'm having the same issue as above on new videos: which is causing headaches for my teams workflow.
A work around is to add a PW in Vimeo under manage privacy settings.
Unfortunately, The support ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-72855 shows no progress since 22Dec21

There must be a glitch. Please try it again tomorrow and let me know how it goes.
I just tried in my Confluence Cloud. It worked without any issues.
Best,
Fadoua

Hi Fadoua,
No luck. Have removd and re-added the widget connector and no luck. I have also removed and reuploaded the video. I am still getting the "Sorry this video does not exist" message. I can confirm the existance, and viewability of the video.

No worries @David Bradley I received the notification even though you didn't tag me.
If the video doesn't have anything personal or any other video that you failed to add using the macro. Can you please share the link so that I can try it from my end? I have my personal cloud instance.
If it works for me, we will know that the problem is in your instance. If not then we can try something else.
Best,
Fadoua

Thanks Fadoua. Am happy enough to share the link however would prefer to email it directly than post in here.
If I insert the link as a link, it works fine. If I insert the link in the widget connector, it doesn't. A colleague is tying to replicate in the same instance at the moment so we'll see if she has any better luck.

Hi Randall, in a word, No. we did find a work around (embedding the link itself) but it seems like it is an Instant Websites issues as opposed to a Confluence one. I've reported this to GLINtech but it would be worth getting touch and reporting it as well. The more people that do, the more likely they will get their devs onto it.
If you aren't using instant website though, maybe it is a Confluence thing.

Nope pretty sure we are not using instant website. I was thinking it had to do with privacy settings for Vimeo, see link https://wiki.harvard.edu/confluence/display/HELP/Known+Issues
The Widget Connector macro has difficulty embedding unsecured content to a secured instance of Confluence.
Change the url of the embedded content to https instead of http
If you would like to embed a Vimeo video, you cannot use the Widget Connector. Instead, paste the embed code from Vimeo into the HTML macro.

I can confirm this is not an issue with Instant Websites as the app has no impact on how macros work on the page.
I've been in touch with David today and will post any updates if this is resolved.
