Importing JIRA issues to Confluence Tasks

I've just started using JIRA and Confluence.

I am being  assigned hundreds of JIRA issues to work on with my team.

I need to sort them into a private to do list for myself.

How do I do this?

I assume the best is to create Tasks in Confluence - but then how do I import  the JIRA issues to Confluence Tasks? 

Or is there a more elegant solution, without using confluence?

Hi Yw,

You can create a filter on a board that only you can see.  However, reporters and assignees of an issue are set to watch that issue by default (and anyone else can watch an issue if they've got permissions to see it) so if you make changes to the issue they'll be notified.

You can either set the filter to the 5/10 issues you want, or you can add labels to the issues and filter on the labels, but again, people will be able to see any changes you make to the issues like adding labels.

JIRA is one big to-do list, so whilst you could make them into Confluence that sort of defeats the point of having JIRA.

Your options include:

• Create a JIRA project and move the issues in there;
• Create a filter on the JIRA board that shows the issues you're interested in;
• Use the JIRA Issues macro in Confluence to display the issues you're interested in.

In terms of privacy, you can amend the JIRA permissions so that only you can see the issues, but I'm guessing you mean you want the issues to be public but your to-do list view of them to be private.  In that case creating a private JIRA filter, or a private Confluence page in which you display the issues using a JIRA Issues macro, is probably your best option.

As I'm reading through 100 issues, how can I select the top 5 I want to work on today, and the top 10 I want to work on this week? I don't want anyone else assigned to these issues to see my choices.
