Moving zip file between Confluence sites on different accounts

Question

Are there API calls or some internal way to move a large (365GB) zip file  from one Confluence site to a different confluence site owned by the same organization?

Is there a way to save the file to an SFTP server? Looking for a way besides a wget call that takes  32 hours to run.

What is the operating system these instances are running on?

Below I describe a few solutions one can use on linux.

You can ask the systems engineers to setup rsync.

I personally use a jump box where I can drop these files and scp to move them

sftp will work as well.

I am going to assume these instances run as some system user.

I am moving large files using scp

Move the file onto a staged / sftp server

1. ssh onto the server

2. su - confluenceuser

3. scp ~/data/backup/sitebackup.zip mydomainuser:jumphost:/some/accesable/path

Copy to new location

1. ssh onto new instance

2. su - confluenceuser

3. scp mydomainuser:jumphost:/some/accesable/path/sitebackup.zip data/restore
