Is there a way to add an individual Jira item to a confluence calendar?

I have a number of Jira items that i would like to appear on our team calendar in confluence, but there is no easy way to add them. i have attempte the "add event > jira issues" route and it doesnt seem to be working. It would be nice if I could just take the link from a jira item and add it to an event so that it populates in the calendar.

Looking at Calendars in Confluence it doesn't seem like you can add one issue, below are the only options I am seeing:

May be with the use an App you can achieve the expected result.
