How to get dates to use the widget?

Whenever I write dates, I don't get the option to turn it into a date widget. I'd like to be able to use that feature. No matter how I write the date, it doesn't give me a pop-up to change the way it appears on the page

There are 2 ways to get the widget. Use the slash, then start typing Date, and you should see the widget in the pop-up. You should be able to see this when you create a new page.

You might have to scroll to find it, depending on how far you get typing the word.

The other way is to use the Insert elements/dropdown to find what you want.

What happens if you write //  when the Confluence page is in Edit mode?
