How to Disable "Add people to all spaces" button on permissions

Drew Bradford August 5, 2025

In the Space Access options in Users and Groups, there is a link in the top right called "Add people to all spaces". I would like to limit who has access to that link as it's been used incorrectly several times now.

How do I limit who can see or click on that link?

Hi @Drew Bradford ,

As Mia said, this feature is only available for Confluence app admins.

On top of that, there's a feature request related to bulk space permission editing you might want to take a look at: CONFCLOUD-78510: Enhanced bulk space permission editing for selected spaces
This might be somewhat related to what you're looking for.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @Drew Bradford

In Confluence Cloud, that “Add people to all spaces” link is only ever shown to members of your Confluence administrators (site-admin) group. There isn’t a separate toggle to hide it.

If you don’t want someone clicking it, just remove them from the Confluence administrators group under Site administrationUser managementGroups. Regular space admins and non-admins will never see that global button.
