Galleries that look like Attachments?

Hi there! I'm uploading a lot of attachments to a page. The Gallery macro puts out absolutely massive thumbnails that I can't figure out how to shrink. It's really tough for my pages that have a *lot* of images.

But then I'm looking at what happens to *other* attachments, e.g. PDFs, and if I upload a bunch at a time, they all come out in a rotating panel with perfectly-sized preview thumbnails.

Is it possible to make images behave like PDFs and Word docs in that regard?

Thanks, Brant! I've just liked, watched, and commented. It's not exactly what I'm looking for, but a solution in the right direction.

@Alex Sramek unfortunately there is not a way to change to image size in the gallery macro https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-gallery-macro/
