As a new user how do I open a document (pdf) that has been snet to me by email with a link?

I cannot open a pdf document that has been sent to me by email with a  link

I have subscribed to Confluence   where do I find it?

Confluence is not a pdf reader, it is a wiki.  If you have been given a link to a Confluence page that has a pdf attached to it, then all you need to do is click on the attachment, and it will open in whatever you have set your browser to open it in (most browsers can do a simple preview, and Confluence supports that.  If that doesn't work, then clicking on it will download it and open it in your preferred reader)
