Confluence Cloud - Remove formatting from tables copied fm Web and pasted into Confluence Pages

There doesn't seem to be an option to remove table formatting (background and text colours etc) from tables that have been copied from webpages and pasted in to Confluence pages.

The 'Clear Formatting' option in the top editing toolbar doesn't work on tables - it is unavailable (dimmed out) when in a table.

Also:

Inserting a table in a Confluence page via /table
No formatting options apart from header row / column row shading, bold text and changing text colour

Copy and paste a table from a webpage
the table comes in complete with all formatting whether it is wanted or not.
There are no options in Confluence to remove any formatting e.g. background colours etc.

Copy and paste a table from Microsoft Excel
No formatting options are carried over

It would be good if either

• more table formatting options were available in Confluence.
• Or if formatting in Excel tables could be carried over, as they are with tables copied from web pages.

As a workaround to my post above (Custom Template Snippets) I have several tables set up on an Excel worksheet for pasting into Confluence pages as 'custom snippets) - a tad disappointed when the formatting wasn't copied over.

To be fair, I wouldn't recommend using Confluence for advanced tables. So for me, the basic features are enough, even though they can be tedious to maintain sometimes.

For advanced tables that need filtering etc., we link to a spreadsheet file on our file server.

Thank you @mb for the feedback - appreciated.  Yes, I've had a rethink.

Decided to collate all the tables from the web and elsewhere into master Microsoft Excel workbooks.

Filter and copy the relevant sections into the corresponding Confluence pages - only need updating once per year.  The idea being to have all the info in the one (Confluence) place.

Then have the benefit of whacking the master excel worksheets into Power BI or whatever.

(Suspect I'll probably end up just linking to the master spreadsheets,  as you do)

Thank you @Stiltsoft support   I'll certainly check out your product if only for curiosity. 

I'm not using any marketplace apps as I'm intending, when time permits, to do the certification and want to keep all Atlassian products in their vanilla state.
