Non admin user is unable to create personal subscription in Slack

When a non admin user tries to create a personal subscription under Bitbucket Cloud channel by typing the following command:

/bitbucket connect <repository-url>

The following error message shows:

To create a subscription for this channel, please contact your repository admin.

As an admin, I've tried to create a chat notification in the repo section but I'm unable to add the user in. I can only select channels. Please advise.

Does that user have permissions to access that repo in BItbucket?

Yes, the user can access the repo with read and write access.

I have the same issue.

I'm not an admin of the repository, so I can't create a personal subscription.

The repository admin can only add subscriptions to a slack channel he has access to.

Since BitBucket sends email notifications to your account, you could use an IFTTT that triggers a Slack notification based on received emails.
It would forward all incoming messages (with for example a specified label) into Slack.
Is not the same, of course, but it might work.
