Automation + Xray: how to store secrets.

Question

when i want to use Jira automation to change things on xray work items.

I guess I need to use the rest api from xray. Therefore I would use send web request.

In Datacenter I had a option to store secrets. How can I store clientid and secret for the authentication to xray in Jira automation savely.

Hi @Helmut Leonhardt ,

In cloud, something like storarge for secrets isn't supported as in DC. There's a feature request around that: AUTO-1365: Add support for secret storage

As for how you can actually use secrets (by that, I mean authenticate), here's an article by Cristiano related to this: Automation for Jira - Send web request using Jira REST API 👈
UI is a bit different, but the general idea is still the same.
