Yes, as you've read! It's possible to secure your project data in the region of preference, the Data Residency feature that Atlassian already offers for their apps, and allows you to locate, store, and manage data by choosing where to place it geographically for Jira Cloud and other apps like Confluence, JSM, and more. Besides, there are Atlassian Marketplace solutions that also allow you to be compliant with industry standards.

This feature is very handy for big companies or those from regulated industries (hence the Atlassian Government Cloud announced at Team 25 Anaheim), and it's currently available to move the data to Global (All regions), Australia, Canada, EU (Frankfurt & Dublin), Germany, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, UK, and the USA, allowing Jira admins to enrich the architecture of their Atlassian hosting.

Atlassian Cloud Data Residency doesn't store all data

It's important to note that there are limitations for some locations and across this feature functionality.
