Hi everybody, I am bumbling around and around and trying to work out all the odds and ends of Atlassian, Confluence and and and... but I never really get anywhere... I would appreciate if someone would be kind enough to show me some of their use cases or throw me a code (if that's what you say at all... probably not :))
I am trying to consolidate my clouds, emails, photos, screenshots, Evernotes, one notes, Adobe files, Office docs, Google docs etc. I would like to be able to have a one stop shop where some little crawler would go off and come back with anything relating to a search word / phrase and then tag itself and file itself and get a pat on the back from me :)
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And please talk slowly... meaning, I know what an API is and does, but we don't get along..., even if I asked nicely... :)
Thanks already! and if I had a cool gif, I'd post it. I'll work on that :)

@Nicole Welcome to the Community, Nicole! I'll let other folks who know more chime in here, but be sure to check out other threads like Friday Fun and "Three Things," where folks share what they wish they had known in their first few weeks here.
Hi @Nicole ! I would say, first, breathe and tackle these bit by bit. It will be all too much if you try to do it all together. Next, I'd suggest checking out: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/organize-your-space-829076206.html and https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/customize-your-space-139423.html.
When you are organizing and moving your things over, something that might also help you with time efficiency is taking advantage of the templates. There are also plenty of Confluence macros when you are in Edit Mode on a page. If you want images to be clickable - ScrollImage Map (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L05Q2TusNI) and for lots of photos (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/gallery-macro-139434.html)
Within Confluence, you can tag each page so that like-pages can easily be found with those buzzwords. I personally have not found a limit to how many tags are too much on a page, but I also haven't tried more than ~half dozen. Confluence search is SO much better than a SharePoint for example, so even if the page doesn't a tag, but possesses the buzzword within it, the page will be found. PDF images with text are also searchable, images as png, the text within the image is not searchable, so tags will be more important there, and/or any text to which the image is supplementing.
There is a lot that you can do right OOTB, but there are also additional plug-ins on the marketplace.
To pull emails into Confluence check this out: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-do-i-get-email-into-confluence-180294236.html .
I don't know if I answered all the questions, but hopefully this is good start for you. Welcome and have fun!
Thank you very much for all the tips and info, @Nicole Lubanowski I will check it out! Nicole :)
