Welcome Wednesday: Is it too early for Christmas?

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I work with some exceptionally funny people.  An "argument" broke out (and by that I mean a series of memes were posted) in a non-work channel about when Halloween ends, and Christmas officially starts.

Personally, the Halloween decorations came down as of November 1st.  However, no Christmas decorations will come out until the calendar says December.

So, I ask the rest of you: Are you getting ready to "deck the halls?" or are you still trying to accept that summer has ended?

Let me know in the comments below.

Have a great rest of the week!

I feel like this year is weird since Thanksgiving is so late. I'm tempted to decorate early (pre-Thanksgiving) just to spend more time enjoying my Christmas decorations. Plus it'll help my train my new puppy to leave them all alone before a bunch of people appear & travel occurs.

We had the same discussion in the office this morning! 🎄

Most of us are in favor of the Christmas spirit starting in December, especially after colloquium exams for those fresh out of college. 😄 Personally, I stand with them on that!

Here, we usually decorate the Christmas tree around mid-December, and we keep the decorations up until mid to the end of January.

I like to enjoy all the holidays there are. I believe we should enjoy fall starting, then Halloween, then Thanksgiving (in the US at least), then Christmas, then New Years. I don't like them to get all mashed together. I love Christmas music, but I don't want to hear it until mid-December so that I'm not tired of it by the time Christmas actually gets here.

I'm so far behind on the year. It's all coming up too fast. I've missed decorating for Halloween for two years now.

We've got Christmas trees starting to appear around our office, so I daresay our Christmas season is in full force. That said, we've still got Halloween decorations around our house, so I'm going to say we are the intersection of the Venn diagram between the two!
I also hate to rub it in, but we're starting to accept that Summer is just getting started here in beautiful Brisbane, Australia! Would dearly love to see a white Christmas one day though

Our neighbour put their Christmas tree up in their front window today, at the same we hurriedly threw away the Halloween pumpkins that has gone off and were leaking pumpkin juice everywhere but the rest of our Halloween decorations are still up (our daughter hasn't shown them to all her friends yet so they're going to be staying up until at least the weekend).

And the same daughter still has Christmas decorations on her dolls house from last year!

We usually put up a Yule tree a week or two after Thanksgiving. Then all the baking stuff gets pulled out and the house smells wonderful until after New Year.

Even Christmas is too early for Christmas 😄

I rarely do any special Chrismas themed decorations at home (except for the mini-tree that I put up a few days before the holiday) and I admire people who see November 1st on their calendars and go straight to wrapping their house in decorations :)

Walking into work this morning I passed by a giant (fake) Christmas tree being erected in a small square near to the office ...

Putting up the Christmas decoration means: "the longer, the merrier" :)

We already put up our tree, but mainly because our son wanted it so badly (and who am I to argue with him about that when I also wanted to put it up since Nov 1st).

I feel some Christmas mood in the air as my team send me recently an Advent calendar as Christmas gift. Although my preparation for holidays is last minute this year. I expect that the Christmas tree will be decorated in 20th of December not earlier. A lot of things happening at the year end and all of us have to make efforts to stop and think about holidays coming rather than trying to finish all work before that :)
