Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today is officially World Emoji Day! Given many Atlassian products feature emoji support, my question for you this week is:

What are your top three favorite emojis to use?

It doesn’t have to be specifically within the Atlassian products, if (like me) you make more use of a number of custom emojis in slack or any other messaging app I’d love to know what those are too!

For myself, it’s going to be:

#1 Waving Pikachu - I use this to say good morning every day!

#2 Thumbs up - This is my standard acknowledgement

#3 Keanu Thank You - This is one that I will add if there isn’t some thank you emoji already available.

I use different emojis depending on the context, but 3 I use often are:

👀 - I've read your message / comment; usually used for comments in Jira to show that I've seen it - I prefer this over 👍 as it doesn't imply that I agree with you, this is especially important as a recent legal case in Canada ruled that acknowledging a message with a contract attached using a 👍 constituted acceptance of the contract even though the 👍 had been meant to show that the contract had been received.

🥅 - Goal; to show that this relates to one of our sprint goals

💩 - just because my Product Owner is a big child and giggles every time he sees it
