Throwback Thursday: What is a fun murder mystery game you've participated in? #TBT

It's Thursday!

Happy Halloween last Tuesday, for those that celebrate. Last Saturday, we celebrated a double birthday of our 2 daughters. They wanted to do a murder mystery game. It was suppose to take place in Venice 1750's so we got all dressed up and my wife decorated the place. Was super fun!

Sooooo, what is a fun murder mystery game or some other game you've participated in where you had to get into character?
Let’s make it a great Thursday!

I grew up playing this game often. Best Murder Mystery Game ever. Even though you didn't need to get into character, we all did.

I also love CLUE @Andy Gladstone! That is a great game and a great movie to boot!

@Kristján Geir Mathiesen I've never had the pleasur to attend a murder mystery night, but it sure sounds fun! Maybe I'll give it a try with my family or friends at some point.

I've never been to one (or hosted) but that looks awesome!  Can I come to the next one, @Kristján Geir Mathiesen ?  😉

Clue would be it.  We never dressed up, but it might be something fun to try.  Or actually do the murder mystery where you have to dress up thing.  That would be fun to.

Or we do it Big Bang Theory style where Stuart is the dead guy and the host.

That would be Cluedo aka Clue in the US. Used to play this back in the 80's

Happy Thursday Everyone!

We enjoy playing a game called "Killer Detective." In this game, there are 6 paper chits, with two of them labeled as "killer" and "detective," while the remaining four chits are labeled as "People."

The chits are randomly distributed among the 6 players, with the detective's task being to identify the killer among them. Here's the twist: the killer can discreetly wink at the other 5 players, and if a regular person receives a wink, they must exclaim, "I am dead," without revealing the killer's identity. None of the players, including the detective, initially knows who the killer is.

The objective of the game is for the detective to identify the killer before the killer manages to wink at all the regular players. If the detective succeeds, they win; otherwise, the killer emerges victorious.

This thrilling game consists of 6 rounds [depending on the number of players] and a score is maintained throughout the gameplay. It's a game that involves a fair amount of guesswork but is incredibly fun and provides a lot of excitement! 😂😂😂

You guys should definitely try this game!

Thanks a lot, @Kristján Geir Mathiesen for the post, we used to play this a lot earlier. It's pure nostalgia.

Really Dan, you picked Clue?  Did you even read the question?  I know you're just replying here because you didn't get the points for yesterday, but could you get a little more creative?

Try hosting a murder mystery party, and then you can see how fun it really is!

I have only been a part of one years ago for a company Christmas party (we were a small startup at the time).  It was nutcracker themed with the rat king being one of the prime suspects.  They got a number of employees involved by giving them accessories and cue cards with their lines while anyone not acting as a character had to try and figure out who was responsible.

It was well done.

Not a game, but I do recommend Knives Out, an enjoyable movie!
