Today we are sharing Andrés Sabatini’s story as an online and Atlassian Community Events (ACE) Leader! From seeking solutions in the online community, to now helping others with their Atlassian product challenges, Andrés shares with us his passion for creating spaces that bring the human touch to teaching.
As we spotlight Leaders in both Atlassian Community Leader programs, we hope you enjoy the journey each Leader has taken to find a community of likeminded people interested in growing their potential with Atlassian products and practices.
I started as an Atlassian Consultant and have been switching roles over the last three years. Its been cool to have people recognize what I’ve improved - The more that happened, the more I’ve climbed the ladder. Now, I manage all of the Atlassian process related stuff and have a team of 10 people. I’ve become a jack of all trades in my work as an Account Architect and Practice Manager.

I value the ease of access with anywhere in the world. I’ve been joining events by Atlassian Community Leaders in Spain and its made it so much easier and interesting to learn with people from different parts of the world. For in person events, the depth has been amazing. The dynamic of everyone giving their full attention and talking on a variety of topics is even more special to find during remote work.
When you teach, you learn twice. First by learning the concept and then by learning how to teach it to someone else. You’ll need to be open to adjusting how you share knowledge because it’s not about giving a lot of information, it’s about helping others learn. Teaching will push you to talk better, to listen more, and you’ll start processing things on a new level because you’re developing a dynamic space for others to feel they belong to and can learn in. Whenever you make yourself a part of something bigger, you’re helping create something for others to relate to - so focus on the roots of the foundation you want to build.
Thank you, Andrés, for sharing! You can find Andrés at Buenos Aires ACEs.
