Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all have a smooth transition into weekend mode. This Friday, I want to celebrate our plant babies!
I have found many times that surrounding myself with greenery and tending to the needs of plants often helps to boost my mood and alleviate stress.
It’s a great way to get out of my head and do something tactile, especially after those downright overwhelming weeks.
So today, I want to see your plants!
Please share a photo or two of your plant pals, as well as what they’re called and/or why you like them.
Here’s a photo of our “Bird of Paradise” plant. I love the deep green of the foliage, and it brightens my mood every time I look over at it in the corner of the living room.
I live in an apartment, so while all my plants are indoor houseplants, feel free to share photos of your garden if you have one.
If you don’t have houseplants or a garden, share a photo or a description of your favorite space in nature to de-stress.
Wishing you a restful weekend.
Very cool, @Rilwan Ahmed. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for sharing an amazing post about the plant , it inspired me to have on in my small flat.
Awesome, @Mohammad Rageh!
This is one of the many roses growing on our 6 rose bushes in our garden. These were planted in memory of our little angel Laura who sadly passed away 10 years ago (you can read more about her here) These roses remind me every day that life can hit you hard when you least expect it, but that it can also be beautiful and tender. It's a daily reminder to be grateful and to enjoy life to it's fullest.
Here is a picture of our garden that I just took minutes ago, it's a wonderful place for the kids to play and for us to relax, and sometimes work in the shadow of the tree:
@Peter Van de Voorde thanks for sharing your beautiful roses with us, and I'm so sorry for your loss.
Plant babies, does Baby Groot count as a Plant Baby? I'm no green thumb, so this is about as close as I get, other than the fake plastic plants that I can barely keep alive.
@Dan Breyen absolutely counts haha! Can't go wrong with Groot.
Hi @Andrew _Zim_ Zimmerman _Appfire_! I agree with @Dan Breyen as I also cannot keep plants alive, with one exception. I bought this snake plant at IKEA along with some succulents. All the succulents died, but the snake plant is still living. And just for some fun, does my dancing Groot Funko Pop count as a plant baby?
@Summer Hogan Groot, in any form, for sure counts!
Thanks for sharing. Go, snake plant! Go!
Happy Friday! I used to have such a black thumb it became a running joke in my family. I’ve gotten a lot better. And I have proof! 😆. Here are some of my favorites.
@Laurie Sciutti your plants are thriving! Thanks for sharing. Also, I love the wall mount system you have for your succulents. Very cool.
These are beautiful!
Love this post!
Covid made me buy all the plants...and most of them are still alive. ;)
Here's a few of my favorites that are visible from my desk area. We did these cute little succulents for my sister's wedding shower:
and my favorite planter from a former student:
@Amanda Barber those look great! Is that one thing device I see a plant air purifier?
Or wait, maybe it's a pencil sharpener 😅. I can't tell haha!
Haha, yes it's a pencil sharpener!
@Amanda Barber alright, best not use it as an air purifier then. 🤣
It's probably more of a reverse air purifier when my kids empty it. 😂
Love your succulents @Amanda Barber! Those are beautiful!
Thanks, @Andrew _Zim_ Zimmerman _Appfire_ ! Not all my plants thrive! Not gonna post those though! Haha. I did manage to save this one though so I’m getting better!
😅 nice save!
A little late to comment, but I love having plants around me both inside the house and out in my garden.
Here's one of my indoor plants when blooming
Very pretty flowers! I love the natural gradient on them.
That is so beautiful @Sandra Axelsdottir - I love the vibrant color!
Gorgeous!
At work, I received a small plant fom my colleague Limor as a token of team connection.
And yes, it's Amplifly with an l, our internal team name.
@Dave Mathijs love the team name! Thanks for sharing.
@Andrew _Zim_ Zimmerman _Appfire_ my wife and I are not green thumbs and seems to kill any plant we have so I do not have any pictures.
@Brant Schroeder haha all good! I've definitely had a few plants with a similar fate.
