Hello,
is it possible, maybe with "{cardlistname}" and Butler to
Add/Assign Member to all Cards in one List ?
Thanks
Solution:
Link Cards to a master Card (like: New User Card), and say: when someone is add to the "new User Card" - add Member to the linked cards
Hi xiller! Are you wanting to retroactively assign cards in a list to a specific member? So there are already cards in the list, and you would like some way to automatically assign all those existing cards in that specific list to a specific member AND any future cards that move into that list to that member? Butler doesn't work retroactively, so there needs to be some sort of action (like moving a card into a list or applying a label) for Butler to do its thing.
Maybe someone has a better solution, but you could set up rules that say "when cards move into "X" list, assign to member "X", and then another rule for member Y, and so on.
In order to assign your existing cards, you could then move the cards out of the list and then back into the list in order to trigger the action. Just be careful you don't hit your Butler quota if you have the free Trello plan - you only have 50 commands per month.

"Are you wanting to retroactively assign cards in a list to a specific member? So there are already cards in the list, and you would like some way to automatically assign all those existing cards in that specific list to a specific member" <- Exactly
"Butler doesn't work retroactively," <- damn :(
Your idea is good. We will "hack" it with (sorry im german):
Link Cards to a master Card (like: New User Card), and say: when someone is add to the "new User Card" - add Member to the linked cards. [will be testing today]
I think our company will create a new Business: Trello Butler professionals :D:D:D

Hope it works for you! There's definitely business for Trello/Butler pros 😉
