Hello,
Today I noticed a problem regarding editing the job description. Below I will describe the steps I took.
I created a task with a description. I sent the task to the other employee's card to check, accept and possibly enter his comments. The employee saved and submitted the task to me after editing, but the description after submission returned to its original state before changes.
Do you know what could have happened? This is the first time such a situation has occurred.
Please support.
Is there any way to trace it in the logs where the error occurred?
@Michał Rybicki not that i know of (unless you have the automation set up that i explained below) because it doesn't show up in the Activity Details.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
@Michał Rybicki is it possible that you didn't save? Or is it possible that someone created some automation in the board that would clear the description?
One way I like to always make sure versions of descriptions are saved (if i care about that) is to have an automation trigger for posting a comment when the description is updated.
Like this:
(note - i should have written "just updated description" and not "comment" haha, but hopefully you get what i mean)
And it will post comments like this whenever someone changes the description text and you can always see what a previous version is:
