When a member is assigned to a checklist item how can I automate an email?

Once I assign a member to an item on the checklist I would like to send an email to that member notifying them. I would like to send a second email when it is 5 days til due date.

The last time I checked there is no native trigger or notification for checklist item due dates. You can check with Planyway or BYO alert mechanism to log and sent our your own alert for checklist item due dates.
