Is there a way to schedule a begin date on tasks and have an alert sent out? I work in a school. Some of the projects depend on different courses wrapping up. It would be helpful to have a remidner built in as well as the deadline. IE, looking for a way to document when we get the green light to go into a classroom and tear out all the equipment.
Not exactly—you could record dates in a custom field using the Custom Fields Power-Up, but this won't generate notifications. This is informational only.
For what you describe, I would suggest using the Due Date in multiple ways. While you can only specify one due date at a time, you can change that due date and re-use the field. You could initially set the due date to when you plan to get started on the project in order to ensure a notification. Once it starts, you can change the due date to the completion date if you'd like.
