Is there any current information available regarding linking Microsoft Outlook and Trello?  Everything I've found online states that Microsoft no longer supports working with Trello.

If this is not true, what is the process for setting this up?

You are right, Outlook discontinued their Trello add-in a while ago but there are some alternatives you could look at, depending on your needs. This article covers a few email integration options which you might find useful: Integrate Outlook with Trello
