Hi there,
I used to be able to click on Add Attachment, on a card, and copy and paste the link to a Bear App note and it would save it as an attachment, which i could click on and it would open the Bear app on my Mac and go straight to the note.
But since recent updates, i now get this error and I cannot add it:
"We couldn’t find anything matching your search.
Try again with a different term."
This is very annoying as it used to work but now doesn't 😞
An example link i've been trying to add is:
bear://x-callback-url/open-note?id=8D0C971C-750E-498D-9E4F-9FF944C7EA15
My only work around is the add a / before I copy the Bear URL and then to go back in and then remove the automatically added http:// as well as my added /
This is very annoying and frustrating as it used to work before the error message above was added.
Please can someone help?
Many thanks
Tom
Hi @Tom S_O_A_P_! I'm sorry for the issue you're experiencing. Could you please share with me the steps you're following to run into this issue? Also, does this only happen with the Bear Notes app? Or have you noticed this with other apps, too? Thanks!
Hi Sal, thanks for getting back to me.
This is only happening for the Bear Notes app links but has previously worked before the automatic search function was added.
So the steps i follow are:
"We couldn’t find anything matching your search.
Try again with a different term." (as pictured)
Previously when this search function wasn't there, i was able to click the Insert button to add to the card. Then when i clicked it, it would open the Bear Notes app on Mac and go straight to that notes, like a hyperlink.
I've also checked if the Bear Notes links has changed in format but it has not and has remained in this format:
bear://x-callback-url/open-note?id=49A174AB-8B56-4677-A3F7-9352AEDA22C4
Hope that helps
Many thanks
Tom

Hi @Tom S_O_A_P_! Thanks for the detailed explanation. So, I made a few tests on my side, and your workaround seems to work on the web app (using Trello through your browser), but it doesn't seem to be working when using the Desktop app. So, I'll chat with our engineering team, and we might raise a bug ticket for this.
Once I have more details, I'll let you know! Thanks!

Just a quick update, @Tom S_O_A_P_. I've chatted with our engineering team, and we decided to raise this as a bug for the Desktop app since this doesn't seem to happen when using the web browser (when following your workaround to attach the callback URL).
You can follow the updates and status about the progress of this bug on this link: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-41. Thanks for letting us know about this bug

Hi @Sal
Hope you're well.
I've just tried my work around (editing the link after adding it) and now I can't even edit the 'Search or paste a link' so no matter what, it always tries and fails to find a match 😠
What's changed? This update below has ruined it.
It's even removed all my previous links (which worked) and now they all don't have a link in there at all, see below 😠
I've also tried it in the browser and this is broken too.
This is immensely frustrating.
Many thanks
Tom
