I am hoping to get a free powerup or integration or anything that would allow our team to post weekly status updates on our boards. Our boards are being used as projects so it would be super helpful to be able to post like weekly write ups on them.
Open to ideas and suggestions!
Thank you!
Can you leverage the inbuilt email-to-board functionality and butler rules to achieve this or does it need to be more complex than that ?
With email-to-board a new card is created in the list and position of your choice.
The subject of the email becomes the card title, the body of the email becomes the card description.
You can use rules to then take that information and move it around or populate custom fields, for example the email subject could be the status (On-Track, Off-Track, Hold etc) and your email body contains the commentary.
A butler rule could easily copy the email subject/card title into a status field and then rename the card using the email body/card description.
You could also email to a particular card but that would just go into the card comments
Hey @Kimber Wallace - not sure who the audience is and what the detailed needs are, but you might want to check out https://www.atlassian.com/software/atlas - depending on your needs, the Free tier may work for you.
You can create links to Atlas projects in your Trello boards as a link card (just paste the link as the name of the card and create it) to have a way to see the latest updates from within Trello.

@Felix - thanks! I checked it out and ideally we would stay in Trello. We already have a tool that is exactly like Atlas that we would not be able to switch from. And our tech stack is getting huge!
The audience is project managers and account managers for a consulting services team. Ideally, it would be awesome if we can just have a field that is on track/off track/ on hold/delayed/etc and then just a text field to write 1-2 sentences on how the project is going.
